Payout accounting is one area that companies tend to do on an ad hoc basis. There is inconsistency in the timing, preparation and presentation of payout reporting. This presentation will review the current guidelines and incorporate the recent changes that affect the statements, including revised CAPL agreements and our current marketing environment and the effect of the PASC 96 and PASC 2011 Accounting Procedures.

About the Presenter: Larry Yasman, Leader-non-operated accounting – Devon Canada

Larry started his Oil and Gas career in 1976 with Home Oil and has worked in a variety of positions, with his latest role as Leader-non-operated accounting for Devon Canada.

Larry has been a member of PASC since the early ‘80s’. He committed 4 years on the PASC Board and became an Honorary Member in 2007. Larry is currently serving as the chair of the Joint Interest Research Committee.

He has participated in the development of a number of PASC documents, including Accounting Procedures and Guidelines. He helped develop the current PASC Accounting Guide to Farmouts/Farmins and Penalty Interests.
